Buildiary is hosted for you by SMH Global. Each workspace's records are kept apart, every change is recorded, and you can take all your data with you.
Hosted on AWS
Buildiary runs on Amazon Web Services in the Mumbai region (ap-south-1). Every connection uses HTTPS.
Workspaces kept apart
Every record belongs to one workspace, and the server takes the workspace from the signed-in session on every request. Automated tests check that one workspace cannot see another.
Safe sign-in
Passwords and PINs are stored only as scrypt hashes, sessions use a secure http-only cookie, sign-in and public links are rate-limited, and PINs lock after repeated wrong tries.
Roles
Each person sees what their role needs. Money pages are shown only to the roles that handle money.
Every change recorded
Every entry records who made it and when, and the phone's location when it was given, in an audit log.
Private files and links
Photos and documents are read back only after a check that they belong to your workspace. Client and supplier links use long random codes and show only what is meant for them.
Nightly backups
The database and the files are backed up every night, encrypted, to storage in the same region, and kept for 60 days.
